Faithfull friends from Norway.

Today we say another farewell to Soren and his friends from Norway, who have been coming to Scotland and Speyside for the last 7 years, sometimes multiple times a year, and each time they have chosen Tawse Taxis to greet them at the Aberdeen Airport and take them everywhere they desire on their weeks holiday visiting almost every distillery in Moray, before dropping them back at the airport and saying “Haste ye back next year” from all at Tawse Taxis. Your a great group of guys always cheerful and up for a laugh with staircases rammed full of Whisky have a safe journey back home. Till next time,

Winter is almost over!

The days are getting longer here in Speyside, and the Speyside Way beckons lots of walkers from all over ready to take it on. Those of you willing to put in the miles and flex your calf muscles can give us a phone and we will happily carry your luggage to your next rest point. Of course some are more suited to relaxing and soaking in the scenery from the comfort of our Transporters, and the worlds Whisky lovers will be flooding the area to try a wee dram from the many wonderful Whisky Distilleries in the area like GLENGRANT, BALLENDALLOCH, GLENFARCLAS, THE MACALLAN, CARDHU, GLENLIVET, ABERLOUR, GLENFIDDICH, BALVENIE, and so many more! Maybe Golf is your sport? There are wonderful courses nearby with lovely sea views, We also have fantastic craft breweries which are evermore popular, with an abundance of lovely Lagers,  Indian Pale Ales, bitters and beers.

Do you need us to pick you, and all your luggage up from the airport? Well that’s no problem too.. In fact whatever you fancy doing in the area, just give us a call or email and I will give you a price. We aim to be as flexible as possible so you can enjoy your time in this hidden part of Scotland. All our drivers have the local knowledge so they can take you round the most beautiful nooks and crannies off the beaten track which are often missed by visitors, and their friendly manner is sure to be one of the things you’ll love about Speyside.

Hope to see you soon.2015 2551

Tawse Taxis.

Cant beleive its May !

Its been another busy few months for all at Tawse Taxis.
The tail end of April saw the Speyside Whisky Festival kick off sending every taxi service in Moray  into a frenzy of distillery visits and nights out…
We have seen visitors from all over the world  Sweden, Germany and most recently Nigeria and South Africa, all wonderfully interesting folk who had fantastic stories to tell about their homelands. It has been a pleasure and really good laugh meeting everyone I have so far this year, and I’m sure I’ll meet much more…

Spring break

Only a few days of the spring break left for some of us, but even tho we have missed the kids banter it’s been busy enough to keep our wheels rolling.
Soon the Spring Speyside Whisky Festival 2016 will be round again starting on the 28th of April through to the 2nd of May. With that in mind make sure you get those bookings in early enough to Tawse Taxis taking you places!

Glen Grant Campari Group Visit

We waved goodbye to another group visiting from our friends at Campari on Friday.
After a week and a taste of what Speyside has to offer they are all destined to come back soon.  With Glen Grant and Glenfiddich Whisky followed by meals at The Sunninghill Hotel Elgin and 1629 Restaurant in Lossiemouth, we transported our clients back to the newly opened Station Hotel in Rothes for a great nights sleep. Ready to wake to another beautiful day in Moray.

visitors from Switzerland

On Friday we said an emotional goodbye to our Campari visitors from Switzerland. With new friendships formed during our 3 day trip together I was sorry
We welcomed them all at Aberdeen airport on Wednesday and with the sun shining journeyed to Craigellachie to see the Speyside Cooperage at work.  We also received a warm welcome from Glen Grant distillery, and The Glen Rothes distillery. The House of Mulben tested their skills at clay pigeon shooting just as storm Abigail began to close in, so onward and indoors out of the rain to Johnsons of Elgin. Day two saw us visit Dufftowns famous Whisky Shop.. and with bags loaded a quick nip at The Vic pub in Rothes took us back to Glen Grant for some sustenance .
We have had a fantastic time with our visitors from Switzerland, you have been a great laugh and your lively enthusiasm is matched by your kindness, we even received a gifts of Swiss chocolate from them, which was lovely by the way! thank you..
